David is the CEO of Prospectus, a business that has attained B Corp status, something he is very proud of. He believes that a business that values all stakeholders equally and that looks beyond the financial profit to assess its value makes a huge contribution to a better society and economy.
David has held a wide range of positions in the sector and is often invited to speak and write on two of his passions – good governance and philanthropy. Currently he is a Trustee of A Glimmer of Hope UK and Project Oracle. He is Patron of The Foyer Federation Advantaged Thinking, Greenhouse Sports and Social Enterprise UK. He has previously served on the boards of Blue Sky, The Foyer Federation, Futurebuilders, Greenhouse Sports, Mindapples, VRH and VSO UK. He mentors the CEOs of two beyond profit organisation.
David believes in the passion, power and ingenuity of the beyond profit sector to address the issues that ensure a better and fairer society. He would love to see the sector truly valued and treated as an integral part of a strong society.
His career started in the Financial Sector and he stayed for 19 years, latterly on the board and management team of UBS Asset Management. On leaving the City, David joined Business in the Community as Head of London, a great learning opportunity around the impact and importance of charities and social enterprises. He bought Prospectus and has been growing and developing it on the belief that beyond profit organisations deserve the highest calibre talent and leadership from all sectors of the economy; an enjoyable and rewarding occupation.
As Deputy Chief Executive at Prospectus, Peter oversees the delivery of all Prospectus back office functions and major projects, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day operations. Peter has also worked in partnership with charities on several projects covering employability and supporting young people.
Peter has a BA(Hons) in International Relations and is Prince 2 qualified. His experience is drawn both from the private and 'beyond profit' sectors, having previously worked for Halifax plc and the British Council. Peter is currently a trustee for Timebank, the national volunteering charity, and was previously Chair of Southwark Bereavement Care, a counselling charity. He also volunteered at London 2012, recruiting volunteers as well as taking part as a Games Maker.
Peter registered with Prospectus for work in 2000 to pursue a career in the charity sector when he was offered the opportunity to centralise the operational functions at Prospectus. Peter's passion for Prospectus is driven by his belief in the value of professional recruitment services, that enable the charity sector to find the best people and facilitate the right choices.
A member of the Senior Leadership Team, Andy works closely with the CEO and Directors on business development, operational projects, marketing and maintaining and developing client relationships. He has also project managed some of the more innovative schemes that Prospectus is involved with, such as the Beyond Profit Internship scheme and our role in the Do-it partnership.
After studying Politics at The University of Warwick, where he was elected President of the Oxfam society and campaigned with Climate Camp, Andy worked in a Learning Disability Team for a Local Authority. Andy initially joined Prospectus in an administrative role to learn more about the not for profit sector
Andy retains a keen interest the sector and is on the lookout for his first trustee role. He regularly takes part in challenge fundraising events such as half marathons, the Grim Challenge and the London 10K.
Mary joined Prospectus in 2013 as an Administrator for the Office and Professional team where she provided overarching administrative support for a number of consultants on a temporary, contract and permanent basis. In April 2015 Mary joined the Office of the Chief Executive, assisting David Gold, our CEO, with diary, research and information management. She also coordinates our external and internal events including the Fundraising Breakfast series. She comes from an events management and customer service background, with over 4 years experience in the retail sector following the successful completion of an English degree and a MA in Modern Literature with Creative Writing.
Very much engaged with the beyond profit sector, Mary runs a Volunteer Fundraising Group and volunteers as an Usher at a small but influential fringe theatre. Her passion lies with organisations supporting vulnerable people and those on the margins of society, and is always looking for more opportunities to get involved.
Adam is a part qualified ACCA accountant (Diploma in Business and Finance) and has more than 10 years’ experience within finance posts, starting initially with payroll before moving into financial accounting and management. As CFO, he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Finance team, producing management accounts and financial analysis and reporting financials to senior management. He also has operational responsibilities including the management of Prospectus’ IT and telecoms infrastructure.
Adam came to Prospectus with experience in the public sector having worked for both Hampshire County Council and The Royal Free Hospital in a payroll capacity. After joining Prospectus in 2006, he was appointed Finance Manager in 2008 and CFO in 2013.
Emma joined Prospectus as an Administration Assistant within the Operations team in 2007 and has progressed to her current role of Head of Talent.
Responsible for recruitment strategy within the organisation, Emma also oversees the training and development of all existing staff, the coordination of all HR policy and administering of all HR procedures.
With a background in client management, Emma has also recently used the volunteering time that all staff are given to run a workshop for jobseekers currently volunteering through the Volunteer Centre Camden.
Hannah is responsible for supporting the delivery of operational services across the organisation as well as providing comprehensive support to the HR department. She originally joined Prospectus as an Office Assistant in 2013 in her first full-time position before being promoted to Office Manager.
Hannah's voluntary work at the Family Information Group during 2011 played a key part in her enthusiasm for working within the beyond profit sector.
As our in-house Database Administrator and Software Engineer it is Juergen’s task to keep the IT environment up to date and to implement those ever changing requirements set by business needs and statutory rules.
After earning a degree (Diploma) in Physics in Germany, Juergen took a colourful route (performing musician, joinery, bodywork) to finally work as a software engineer, first in Germany and Switzerland, and since 2003 at Prospectus.
Afsar joined Prospectus as an Apprentice in 2010, working as an Administrator for our Operations department. After passing his NVQ Level 3 and retaining a permanent contract, Afsar was promoted to Finance Assistant and was then again promoted to Finance Officer in 2014.
He currently manages our weekly payroll process for all temps and locum workers as well as other responsibilities within in the finance department. In addition he is also studying for the AAT accounting course, which is being sponsored by Prospectus, to develop his knowledge and ensure the smooth running of the Finance department.
Reece joined Prospectus in June 2016 as a Finance Officer on the Operations team. Following 2 years working in finance at Grafton PLC, Reece has a keen interest in finance and is currently studying for his final AAT Accounting exams.
His main responsibilities include managing bank reconciliation and credit control whilst working alongside the rest of the finance team to assist with all areas of accounts.
Francesca has several years experience in administration, secretarial and customer service working in all different sectors including public, private and beyond profit organisations.
In her spare time, Francesca volunteers for Samaritans and Attend.
Anna joined Prospectus in January 2017 as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. After her degree in Linguistics and Translation, she has lived in Germany and Austria and now is enthusiastic to work within the beyond profit sector and develop a career in recruitment.
Rahat joined Prospectus as an Office Support Assistant in 2017 and provides general operational and administrative support across the organisation including IT and Telecoms, whilst also providing comprehensive support to the Finance team.
Rahat was driven to join Prospectus as he has an interest in charities that support children as well as organisations that help war victims. He frequently volunteers at his local football club, boxing gym and at fitness boot camps.
