Over 2012 – 2013 we delivered a unique charity internship pilot scheme in East London, in partnership with Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
The scheme placed nine people in nine different charities on a six month placement where they were paid the London Living Wage and received bespoke training from Leap Confronting Conflict.
The Beyond Profit Internship (BPI) scheme provided a blueprint for a fresh, diverse and accessible talent stream into the not for profit sector. It also enabled people who would not usually undertake an internship to participate in a rewarding work experience placement.
Prospectus delivered the scheme on a not for profit basis and are exceptionally proud that at the time of writing six of the people engaged on the BPI scheme had secured paid employment in the not for profit sector, one had chosen to go to university to study Community Youth Work and one had been accepted onto an international volunteering programme.
