With over 16 years experience of building successful brands and teams within the beyond profit recruitment sector, Ian heads up our Office and Professional and Frontline Recruitment teams. He has developed an extensive knowledge base and network of contacts within the sector, particularly in fundraising, working with a multitude of small to medium sized organisations as well as large charitable organisations.
Ian is a passionate supporter of the sector and is currently a Trustee of Find your Feet an international development organisation.
Team Leader on our Office and Professional Core Division, Richard is an experienced recruitment professional with a proven track record of delivering tailored recruitment solutions to a broad range of clients across the charity and previously the private sector. Committed to providing the highest levels of service to his candidates and clients, Richard has had a passion for the not for profit sector for some years and has undertaken volunteer work for both The Terrence Higgins Trust and Victim Support.
As well as managing the team, Richard recruits permanent, temporary and contract staff at junior to mid-level range for our varied and exciting client base and is committed to assisting in building and developing the Prospectus brand
With over 7 years’ recruitment experience, Scott specialises in Higher Education recruitment and works with many of London’s major colleges and universities, including King's College London, UCL, Queen Mary University and the Institute of Education.
Scott recruits to a wide range of temporary, contract and permanent support roles and has developed an exceptionally strong network of clients and candidates.
As well as over 20 years of recruitment experience, Robert has played a key role in setting up a number of employability initiatives and programmes for disadvantaged groups, most recently partnering through Prospectus with Thames Reach on a year long capacity building programme.
A consultant with Prospectus for over 8 years, Robert specialises in administration and operational roles in a wide range of charities, including some of the UK's largest and most innovative trusts, foundations and grant making organisations.
Tristan specialises in recruiting permanent, temporary and contract positions in the fields of international development, heritage, housing and the NHS. Since graduating from the War Studies department at Kings College in 2006, he has held numerous positions in the private and not for profit sectors. Most recently as Schools Programme Officer at War Child and Events Administrator at the British Red Cross.
Having worked and volunteered in the sector for a number of years, he remains inspired and convinced by the sector's importance. This consultancy position has allowed him to build his knowledge and skills whilst continuing to contribute to the success of the sector.
Afsheen is a specialist recruiter to the Higher Education sector at Prospectus. With previous recruitment experience within Social Care, Afsheen is dedicated to supplying high quality temporary candidates who are passionate about education and learning to London Universities and Higher Education institutions.
Prior to her recruitment career, Afsheen graduated from University with a BA honours in Business and Marketing. Whilst studying, Afsheen temped for various Higher Education organisations in a number of roles. This has given Afsheen a valuable insight into the sector from both a candidate and client’s perspective.
Afsheen has recruited for roles within many Higher Education establishments including, King’s College London, SOAS, London Business School, UCL, Institute of Education, Queen Mary University and many more.
Emma is a Senior Consultant on our Fundraising Team, recruiting for a variety of roles covering all income streams but with a particular focus on Digital Fundraising.
Emma has around 7 years recruitment experience spent working in the commercial, oil and gas, media and beyond profit sectors. Emma began recruiting for the beyond profit sector in 2014 and has a particular interest in disability, mental health and religious charities.
Ryan joined Prospectus as a Fundraising Recruitment Consultant in 2015. Ryan’s career in the beyond profit sector began in Chicago, USA where he recruited for a variety of fundraising and beyond profit positions. Ryan specialises in recruitment for homelessness, social enterprise, and arts focused organisations.
With a degree in English, Ryan is passionate about reading and writing and has volunteered for literacy programs aiding the homeless and underserved, and is passionate about social equality and opportunity. Ryan is a Trustee of United AllStars, a sports engagement charity working with at risk youth in Camberwell and Peckham to help them overcome social and economic barriers to success.
Having previously worked in commercial recruitment, Kerrie is a Consultant on the Office and Professional team recruiting for permanent, temporary and fixed term contracts for a wide range of administration and general office support roles.
Kerrie has had a passion for the beyond profit sector for a number of years and previously volunteered at The Starlight Children’s Foundation where she granted wishes to seriously and terminally ill children and also volunteered as a street fundraiser.
Kerrie works with a wide range of charities dealing with Children and Youth and Membership organisations and enjoys being able to offer a consultative approach to both clients and candidates.
Jo is a Fundraising Consultant at Prospectus. Jo’s background is in recruitment in both the commercial and charity sector and she joined Prospectus to pursue her personal interest in fundraising. Covering roles across a range of income streams such as individual giving, community, corporate and major donor, her specialisms lie within animal, children’s and disability charities.
With a degree in Sociology, Jo has a keen interest in social justice and human rights and has volunteered for several different organisations over the years including Anti-Slavery International, Cancer Research UK and Mencap. A lifelong dog lover, Jo currently volunteers in the kennels of the Mayhew Animal Home.
With over 6 years of experience in the Education sector, Rebecca works on our Higher Education team. Prior to Rebecca’s recruitment career she worked as a Special Needs Intervention Assistant teaching children with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties alongside completing her LLB Law degree at the University of Hertfordshire.
Rebecca is passionate about the beyond profit sector and volunteers at a number of organisations such as SCOPE, Harvest Mission and Cancer Research UK.
A Consultant in our Office and Professional team, Katy has over 10 years’ experience of recruiting within the beyond profit sector. Katy is responsible for temporary, contract and permanent recruitment ranging from general office administration to Communications, Finance and HR. In addition to working with Membership organisations Katy has a particular passion for the environmental and homeless sector along with charities who support vulnerable women.
Katy’s career in the beyond profit sector kick started as a street fundraiser progressing into a Face to Face Fundraising recruitment specialist setting up in house campaigns across the UK for a number of charities. Most recently, prior to joining Prospectus Katy worked directly for the charity Working Chance placing female ex-offenders back into sustainable employment as well as facilitating employability works shops for women in prison.
Louis is a Consultant within our Office and Professional Team. Louis joined Prospectus as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant and has worked across the Office and Professional, Frontline, Senior Appointments and Executive Search team supporting the different recruitment processes. This unique level of exposure has been a great benefit as he continues to grow and develop his knowledge of the beyond profit sector and Prospectus as a whole.
Louis has volunteered with smaller charities that resonated with him, assisting on their marketing strategies to attract fundraisers and volunteers.
With over 5 years experience in recruitment, Scott’s background is predominately temporary recruitment to the Beyond Profit sector, including healthcare regulators, Central Government departments and charities.
Scott is extremely passionate about the sector with experience fundraising for Enable Scotland and the Down Syndrome Association of Scotland, as well as supporting children with learning disabilities in a summer camp in New York with the YMCA. Scott also ran the Royal Parks half marathon to raise funds for Amnesty International.
Nazir joined Prospectus in 2014 as an Administrator handling queries, assisting with finance administration and compliance. In 2016 he joined the Office & Professional team as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant specialising in temporary recruitment.
Having successfully completed an apprenticeship in administration, Nazir is keen to gain a better understanding of how the recruitment process works. Nazir was motivated to join Prospectus as he is passionate about the beyond profit sector and has volunteered with a local youth club for the last seven years.
Siobhan is Candidate Executive on the Fundraising team. She focuses on engaging with fundraisers and forming lasting relationships so that we can match candidates with their perfect job as and when it arises.
Siobhan joined Prospectus in 2016 having previously worked in the not for profit sector as a Community Fundraiser so she has an excellent understanding of the market and the challenges faced when recruiting or job searching. She has a keen interest in social media and has a particular interest in Arts, Homelessness and Children’s charities.
With a background in administration across various sectors, Lucy joined the Office and Professional team as the Senior Administrator in 2016 after spending a year on Prospectus’ Recruitment Advertising team.
Lucy has a particular interest in animal charities, having spent a year caring for animals on a farm and studying animal management.
A keen photographer, Lucy studied the subject at university and has previously volunteered her time to teach photography and other creative workshops in schools.
Iain is the an Administrator & Resourcer on the Office & Professional team; his main duties include sourcing, selecting and interviewing candidates and reporting on our candidate compliance process. He is also responsible for ensuring high standards of customer service across the team in dealing with both clients and candidates.
Iain previously worked in the banking sector before deciding he wanted to work in the not for profit sector to focus on making improvements to people’s lives and communities as a whole.
He registered with Prospectus in 2010, working on temporary roles with charities such as Teenage Cancer Trust and the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust before joining Prospectus on a permanent basis.
Carolyn assists Ian Burpitt, Director of Office & Professional & Frontline, with diary management, research and information management.
She is currently a part-time student on the MA Psychotherapy and Counselling programme at Regent’s University London, and has a keen interest in the ingredients required for a flourished mind.
Carolyn has worked for a number of arts organisations, including the Helen Storey Foundation and National Youth Theatre, in research, development and administration roles. She also volunteers at ELMS in Waltham Forest.
