Prospectus is pleased to announce that Andrew Ratcliffe has been appointed as Impetus-PEF’s new Chief Executive.
Impetus-PEF is a highly innovative and impact-focused charity that partners with the most promising charities and social enterprises serving disadvantaged young people in the UK, providing them with a combination of sustained management support and long-term core funding.
Impetus-PEF currently works with more than 20 charity partners, who in turn reach over 50,000 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the support they need to succeed in education and employment.
Prospectus was mandated to lead the recruitment for Impetus-PEF’s Chief Executive in June 2015, and following an extensive executive search, selection and assessment process, Andrew was appointed. He joins Impetus-PEF from the Africa Governance Initiative (AGI) where he was Deputy CEO, helping the organisation double in size, enter new countries and build high profile global partnerships. Before joining AGI, Andy was Senior Policy Adviser for Education in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit up to 2009, focusing on developing policy on social mobility, secondary schools, parenting and skills. Andy also spent time working for the Social Policy Department at Oxford University, developing measures of neighbourhood poverty and educational disadvantage in the UK and South Africa.
