The Foyer Federation has been successfully developing new and innovative ways of working with young people struggling to make the transition to adulthood since the early 1990’s.
Their ground breaking campaigns and initiatives are led through a network of over 100 accredited learning and accommodation centres known as ‘Foyers’. These Foyers provide up to 10,000 16-25 year olds per year with personal development and other services that enable young people to reconnect with learning, increase their employability, improve their health and wellbeing and develop their leadership potential in line with their needs and goals.
With demand and interest in their ‘asset based’ approach to building the talent and aspirations of young people continuing to rise; recruitment to this post came at a hugely important time for the Foyer Federation as they sought to implement their new strategic plan, reap the benefits of their recent merger with the youth leadership charity Changemakers, work towards their stated ambition to build a Movement for Advantaged Thinking and as they prepare for the eventual departure of their highly respected Chief Executive Jane Slowey.
Prospectus was successful in appointing Andrew Croft the Chief Executive of CAN who brings to the role experience of leading the expansion of a successful national social organisation coupled with experience in the private sector, together with over 20 years management experience from the John Lewis Partnership to easyGroup.
