The Royal Parks Foundation is the charity for London’s eight amazing Royal Parks, which welcome more than 77million visitors each year. The Foundation raises funds for a variety of projects focused on heritage, education, wellbeing and nature and works to increase understanding of the Parks so that more people will wish to support and care for them.
Prospectus had already worked in partnership with the Royal Parks Foundation to recruit a variety of disciplines when they approached us to recruit a Part-Time Finance Officer. Working alongside a Head of Finance, the role required a self-motivated and experienced individual who was happy to work autonomously and flexibly with minimal supervision. The duties included analysis and distribution of incoming payments, expenses analysis, batching sales ledger, trial balance, reconciliation and payment runs alongside other general departmental finance responsibilities.
After careful advertising, screening, qualifying skills and interviewing, Prospectus appointed an experienced individual who had undertaken a similar role within another charity for several years and was looking for a new opportunity with an organisation more closely aligned with their beliefs. Not only did the candidate match the role in terms of skills and experience, they were an excellent fit in terms of culture and personality.
The Royal Parks Foundation was delighted with the recruitment and the candidate remains a pivotal part of the finance team.
