We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead on delivering both advice and guidance on key service contracts and procurement to internal stakeholders.
The Procurement Manager will lead on the full cycle of procurement, including the preparation and review of procurement documentation. This person will play a key role in driving forward flexible solutions through competitive tendering as appropriate, and will assist employees in ensuring value for money and the appropriate use of Government frameworks, while abiding by compliance and procurement rules. They will also be required to provide training and raise awareness of procurement rules and legislation within the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in an Officer or Management position within a public sector organisation. A good working knowledge of procurement processes is essential, as well as a clear understanding of government spend controls and framework agreements. It is crucial that this individual has exceptional relationship building skills and is highly versed at negotiating, influencing and managing difficult conversations.
