Director of Engagement and Community Fundraising

Barts Charity

London

£65,000-£70,000

In 2017 we committed to increase our funding over the next three years to make a real difference to London and beyond. Our ambition is to sustain this higher level of giving beyond 2020 and to do this we want to significantly increase our voluntary income.

We are now recruiting a Director of Engagement and Community Fundraising to set a new and focused community fundraising strategy, harnessing the passion of the 16,000 staff of our key partner Barts Health and the millions of patients that they support each year, ensuring that we can continue to fund the best projects that will have a real impact on people’s lives.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be an important member of the senior team and will bring strategic vision, excellent leadership skills and the ability to build close working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. A demonstrable track record of securing income through working in a fundraising, marketing or sales environment will be essential. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is excited by the impact of what we fund and is focused on making things happen.
