Prospectus is pleased to be partnering the Cardinal Hume Centre, a London based charity who offer a diverse range of support and housing services to young people, families in need and the local community. They enable their service users to gain the skills and support they need to overcome poverty and homelessness. They are now looking for a Welfare Rights Specialist to join their advice team. This role is offered on a 2 year FTC.

As their Welfare Rights Specialist, you will offer an integrated welfare rights resource to all service teams in the centre, ensuring they are able to respond effectively to general welfare rights issues facing their clients, to achieve this you will provide casework management, guidance and training resources. Adopting the charity's person centred approach, you will work directly with clients who require assistance with complex Welfare Rights issues empowering those on your caseload to problem-solve and make informed decisions about their future.

To be successful, you will possess proven experience in providing specialist welfare benefits advice and hold up to date knowledge of welfare reform and future changes that are likely to affect service users. The ability to act as a representation for clients is essential for this position as is previous experience of supporting vulnerable people in a similar sector. Finally, the commitment to and experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams is essential.
